RIDE AND STRIDE - This annual fundraising event for Herefordshire Historic Churches Trust is on Saturday, September 12. Half the sponsorship money is returned to a church of the rider’s choice. Everyone is welcome to join in, whatever their ability. Diane and David Cope have sponsorship forms on 01544 388981.

BARBECUE - Tickets are available for a barbecue on Saturday, August 29, from 6pm-10pm in the attractive garden of Hardwick House (off A44 near Pembridge) in aid of St Mary’s Church.

There will be a bar, prize draw, music and entertainment and firework display.

Covered facilities are available should it rain. Numbers are limited so please book early at the Tea Rooms on 01544 388226 or Dorothy and Peter Brown on 388389. Adults £12 and under-14s £6.

The first meal is included.
