ANTIQUES - On July 10, the village hall held a capacity audience for valuation of a wide variety of objects to be valued and described by the wellknown local auctioneer, Philip Baldwin.
Following this, the audience enjoyed a delicious buffet supper provided by the members of the Eardisley Methodist Chapel. The purpose of the event, beside giving pleasure to the audience, was to raise money to install disabled toilet facilities at the chapel.
FILM -The last evening film in the current series will be screened in the village hall tomorrow at 7.30pm. The Oscar-winning film is Slumdog Millionaire, set in Mumbai. The new series will start in September.
PARISH COUNCIL - The next meeting will be on Monday in the village hall. At the May annual parish meeting, Clive Skelton was re-elected chairman, and Kenneth Goodman as vice-chairman.
