ANTIQUES VALUATION EVENING – At the village hall at 7.30pm on Friday, July 10, Philip Baldwin will host a valuation event. Admission is £4, which includes a buffet supper. A valuation fee of £1 is payable at the door. One item per person is allowed. This should prove to be a very popular evening, so it is advisable to buy tickets as soon as possible. Proceeds will go towards providing toilet facilities for disabled people using the Methodist Chapel.

July chapel services are at 11am each Sunday.

MURDER MYSTERY – Eardisley Young Farmers are producing a murder mystery evening entitled Pass the Poison on Saturday at 7.30pm, for 8pm start. The cost is £19, to include a three course supper. Tickets are available at Central Stores, or from Joy or Sam Davies, 01544 327052.

ROYAL BRITISH LEGION – Meets tonight (Thursday) at the New Strand at 8pm. The president’s garden party is on Sunday at Bramley House, Whitney, at 1.30pm. To book, please contact Rona or Alan.

HISTORY GROUP – The next meeting is at the New Strand at 7.30pm.

CHURCH – On Saturday, July 11, there will be a coffee morning and cake sale at the church. Donations of cakes and scones will be greatly appreciated.

The summer bazaar raised a magnificent £817, for which the fundraising committee is very grateful.
