KEVIN Dover of Pemcader Welsh Corgis judged the match on July 21.

He has been breeding and showing corgis for 35 years and made up 10 Pembroke champions and three Cardigans in the UK. He has judged at championship level here, in Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Kevin selected Caroline Scott’s llhasa apso Wolferlow Emilia Fox for best puppy in match, reserve best puppy was Ann McGuigans Chinese crested Annamac Fairy Dust. Best veteran was Ann’s Chinese crested Annamac I’m Denzil. Best adult and best in match was Val Jones’ rottweiller Dortmund Rock ‘n’ Roll for Westfalen and reserve best in match Lorraine Carter’s llhasa apso Vowchurch Chico Time. Members enjoyed a buffet, followed by a raffle.

Members achieved high honours in the show ring recently. Anthony Brooks’ soft coated wheaten terrier Loofahsa Hayzee Fantayzee was reserve champion at East of England. Jill Tarling’s pointer Esrews Rhyming was reserve best bitch at the Pointer Club show.

Margaret Harkins’ bearded collie Ch Claudalla Lady Tippins won bitch CC at Bath and Claudalla Jenny Wren gained her junior warrant and RCC at the Three Counties Championship Show.

Meetings are held every Wednesday, 7.45pm to 9pm at Breinton Village Hall.
