THE programme for 2010-11 has been announced. On August 20, at 3pm, at Cox’s Cottage, 42 Venns Lane, there will be a garden party and food and produce bring-and-buy sale.
Otherwise, all regular meetings are held in the WRVS Centre, Vicarage Road, next to St James Church. On September 17, at 7.30pm, Sid Madge is guest speaker on The Pleasures of Jane Austen. October 15, at 7.30pm, brings Tim Bridges on Birmingham’s Founding Fathers. And on November 19, at 2.30pm, meet Rita Rees and Macheta Walling – the Eager Divas – for An Afternoon at the Opera.
