Members of Much Birch WI were joined by husbands and friends at their October meeting for an illustrated talk by Mr. Jordan on Route 66, which runs across America from Cahicago to Los Angeles. Along the route, he showed slides of before and now; before the advent of Hollywood and the Cinema. As he passed through each state he told of the history, the struggle with Indians over territory, the result of the depression etc, all of which was of great interest. This Route is also the venue of many films and they had a glimpse of some of the famous stars of the Wide Screen and where their films were made. Mr. Jordan also played some appropriate music and reminded members of films such as "Meet me in St. Louis " and "State Fair" etc. with some old posters. Altogether it was a most entertaining evening, very much enjoyed by all.
