HEREFORDSHIRE freemasons have commemorated the 150th anniversary of Eastnor Lodge.
They gathered at the Feathers Hotel to hear how people lived in 1858 as well as the history of Ledbury and Eastnor Lodge.
In that year Queen Victoria was on the throne and Britain was establishing itself as a leading power.
The first rail line did not arrive until 1885 when the Great Western line from Ledbury to Gloucester opened.
Mike Roff, provincial director of ceremonies and a member of Eastnor Lodge, said: “Today Eastnor has a flourishing lodge attracting new members.
“We are back to our original home in the Feathers Hotel and look forward to many years in the future flying the flag for the old town of Ledbury and Eastnor Lodge.”
Eastnor Lodge also donated £1,500 to Age Concern.
