At the meeting of the Kington U3A, members were entertained by Janet Thomas, who gave an amusing and informative talk about her early career as a studio manager for BBC radio. This was followed by the AGM, with the election of the committee and officers for the coming year. Thanks were given to all those who have worked so hard to make Kington U3A such a success.
The next monthly meeting will take place on Thursday, July 10, at 2pm, at the Kington football clubhouse, when the chairman-elect, Graham, will give a thought-provoking talk entitled, ‘How Safe is Your Airport?’ Members £1, non-members £2 – to include refreshments.
