AT the June meeting, plans were made for the garden party at Dora Roberson’s in July. Our speaker, Mr David Barrie of Nature’s Own, gave an informative talk on nutrition and essential vitamins and minerals. Mrs C Jones thanked him for all the useful details he had passed on. Mrs Pam Missenden and Mrs Patricia Byers were the hostesses and Mrs May James won the raffle. Mrs Janet Potter expressed thanks to the family of the late Mrs Joan Goulding for their bequest to the WI. The meeting was brought to a close with a review of county news, details of future outings and a reminder of the bring-and-buy stall at the garden party, and provision of food at the event.
