ON Sunday, June 1, the Hereford MG Car Club held its annual charity mountains and valley run when 135 gleaming cars gathered at Hereford Leisure Centre before venturing through the black and white villages of Herefordshire and on into Shropshire. The views from the Clees and Wenlock Edge will be remembered for a long time along with the decent from the top of the Longmynd down into Asterton. The MG Club would like to thank sponsors and all companies and individuals who helped raise £3,000 which will be presented to the Hereford and District branch of the MS Society at noon on Saturday, July 12, outside Melgray’s in Widemarsh Street, Hereford, to coincide with Hereford vintage and classic car day.
The MS group supports people affected by MS in Herefordshire. Support takes different forms, from socials, or through activities such as lunches, well-being classes and toning tables. They also have the facility to use a local leisure club. These activities are funded through the support group’s money raising activities and donations, which also allows them to provide financial support to people affected by MS where appropriate.
