THE members of the Probus Club of the City of Hereford along with their wives and friends enjoyed a five-day spring break, staying in Chester from Monday, May 12, until Friday, May 16. During their stay in Chester, they took coach tours, visiting Port Sunlight Village and Museum, Arley House and Gardens, Hack Green secret nuclear bunker, Llangollen train ride and a canal narrow boat trip, passing over the Pontcysilte aqueduct. Today (Thursday) members of the club and their wives will attend the president’s charity morning. The money raised will form part of this year’s collection in aid of the local charity chosen by the president – The Martha Trust.
The club secretary, Mr A Lloyd, can be contacted on 01544 230408.
