           <description>
  OPEN GARDEN AND PLANT SALE - Our next fund-raising event for the new village hall is the open garden at Tyglyn in Cusop Dingle on Sunday, between 11.30am and about 4pm. This is becoming an annual
  event enjoyed by all who attend. After the success last year of the Scottish dancers we have this year been fortunate to obtain the services of the Fox Whelp Morris Dancers plus music from
  Ferrett’s Noyse. There will also be an opportunity to visit the new micro-hydroelectric scheme that has just been installed. All this plus the usual games and duck race, ploughman’s lunch, teas,
  cakes, a huge selection of plants for sale and a ‘used but useful’ flowerpot exchange scheme. Entry is £3, children come in free and there is plenty of parking. The garden will be signposted from
  the main Hardwicke Road.

           <description> NEW VILLAGE HALL - The roof is on, scaffolding is down, windows in, the first stage of wiring is complete and plastering is under way. Then the suppliers informed us that the underlying scree will
  take up to 100 days to dry out before the floor can be put down. On the positive side this means that our volunteer decorators will be able to complete decoration and opening is now anticipated in
  mid to late October. Meanwhile servicing our £50,000 loan depends on the continuing success of our car parking at the Hay Festival and successful. The audience heard witty monologues and vocal
  duets as well as a range of soloists who sang or played instruments. There was also a display about Longtown Eisteddfod and its history.
