DYF-Dilwyn Young Farmers 60th birthday celebrations held at Alton Court, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Stuart Wellings and family, proved to be a fantastic success. 360 guests attended the Anniversary Dinner Dance on 10th July and enjoyed sumptuous food supplied by Sisters Catering, followed by dancing to live band Steady Eddy and the Boogie Men. The Diamonds and DJ’s Black Tie Ball the following evening was attended by 250 young people with the weekend culminating with Sundays Picnic to music from local live band Wyldin, in aid of St. Michael’s Hospice. Club President Mrs Julie Hanson wishes to thank everyone who supported each of these events. The club is looking forward to seeing everyone again at the 70th celebrations! A small amount of lost property has been acquired and can be reclaimed by contacting Mrs Anita Bright – 01544 318331.
