PARISH MEETING – At the parish council meeting, there were four councillors present and five members of the public attended. During public participation, it was reported that there were youngsters on the playing field drinking during the evenings. Clerk will write to police explaining drinking was occurring on a regular basis and the council would like the playing field and village hall car park to become a no drinking zone. The village hall committee also agreed to write.
The clerk was asked to get the dustbins on the playing field cemented down and also to ask the lengthsman to strim around the posts of the swings and around the shelter to keep it tidy.
The clerk is to ask the lengthsman to collect bottles and cans along the verges. A number of complaints received about dogs fouling on the playing field – signs are to be erected.
A discussion took place regarding holding a village fete – anyone interested in organising or volunteering to help could contact the clerk or councillors.
The next council meeting is on July 16 at Innesfield Community Centre.
