DILWYN WI CELEBRATE 75th ANNIVERSARY COMMUNITY WHEELS FOR VILLAGERS

Dinedor

4:09pm Friday 11th July 2008

HERITAGE GROUP – The group had a really successful inaugural meeting with a fascinating presentation by Maj David Seeney on Dinedor’s secret army of the Second World War. Some of the audience were able to learn more about their fathers’ activities and we were all left wondering where the secret hideouts were. All are invited to our next open meeting on Tuesday at 7.30pm in Dinedor Village Hall. We hope to learn more about the history of the area with a presentation by Huw Sherlock and PJ Pikes of Archenfield Archaeology on Bullingham’s deserted medieval village and talk about how we can learn more about our own protected site. Admission is £2. Inquiries to Barbara Ferris on 01432 870696.
