VILLAGE SHOW-Wild West was the theme at this year’s show which featured the gigantic wrestlers manned by volunteers from the audience. The dog show had entries from all over the country as well as what seemed like every dog from the area. Harold Drew from Button Oak, a regular exhibitor at the classic and vintage vehicle display caught everyone’s attention as he rode around the show ground on his 4x4 with 14 year old Bijon Frise ‘Tiger’ on his tank. A record turn out of Vintage and Classic Vehicles, tractors and static engines framed the field whilst a touring American Wild West Show kept the audience enthralled with their antics in the main arena. A Shire Horse logging display, horse show, maypole dancing by the village children and bell ringing by Kington St. Margaret’s bell ringers added to the thrill of the day.
