CHURCH SERVICE – Harvest Festival will be celebrated at St Mary’s Church today (Friday) at 7pm. The service will be followed by a bring-and-share supper. Everyone is welcome.

VILLAGE COFFEE MORNING – On Saturday, there will be a breakfast coffee morning at the Bells Inn. Starting at 9.30am and continuing until 11.30am, cooked breakfasts, including vegetarian food, will be served.

FLICKS IN THE STICKS – Happy Go Lucky will be screened in Almeley Village Hall on Thursday, October 9. The film starts at 7.30pm and admission is £3.50. Bar or bring your own.

QUAKERS – The annual coffee morning will be held in the Quaker Meeting House on Saturday, November 1. Starting at 10am and continuing until 1pm this event is part of the effort to raise funds to maintain the ancient building and develop the stable block.

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING – The organisers of the coffee morning, held in the village hall on Friday, September 26, would like to thank everyone who supported this very worthy cause. They are pleased to announce that they raised a total of £500. Further donations will be gratefully received.
