DUCK RACE – The New Bridge Community Centre committee organisers wish to thank all who entered the competition and the generous donors who together enabled the sum of £693.76 to be made at the event.
ORCHARD ART COMPETITION TO WIN £50 – Paint or draw in any medium or make a collage of your favourite orchard, or your interpretation of an orchard. The three age classes are up to 11 years, 11 to 18 and over 18. The competition is open to everyone and the closing date is September 1. VILLAGE LOTTERY – This week, John Macklin won £25 with his number 15.
CONSERVE HOME ENERGY – Herefordshire Council Energy Efficiency Department (01432 260398) will advise interested persons on which grants are available for them to have loft insulation, cavity insulation, draught proofing, tank jackets and more. Up to £500 is available to all owner-occupiers of Herefordshire subject to restrictions.
