CHOIR – The Bargoed Male Voice Choir will be coming to St Mary’s Church on Saturday, October 25. Following their performance in the church, they will move to the village hall for more entertainment. For music lovers, there is another musical treat with the Hereford Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society performing a concert of Gilbert and Sullivan favourites and songs from other popular shows in Eardisley Village Hall Friday, October 10.Tickets are available at Eardisley Post Office, and the show starts at 7.30pm. PARISH COUNCIL – At the meeting of Almeley Parish Council, Hayley Crane, the development officer for Herefordshire District Council, explained the process of assessing housing needs in Almeley. A questionnaire will be sent to each household to obtain information on the housing needs of residents. If houses are built, letting will be safeguarded for local people. WHIST CLUB – Another successful whist drive took place in the village hall on Tuesday, September 30. Prize winners were Rick Harris, Pauline Edwards, Margaret Kerrigan, Mary Gates, Diane Jenkins, Mario Battenti, Kath Jenkins, Margaret Price, Terry Beaumont and Margaret Goode. Come along next Tuesday at 7.45pm for a very enjoyable evening.
