PARISH COUNCIL – The parish council will meet at Siward James at 7.30pm next Monday. All parishioners welcome.

BODENHAM MOTHERS’ UNION – The Mothers’ Union will meet today (Thursday) at 10.30am at 14 Brockington Road. Wendy Cummins will show a DVD and talk about her visit to Zambia’s MU. Visitors are welcome. Next Monday at 2pm at St Peter’s Church Hall, Hereford, there will be a talk about MU voluntary work in a women’s prison in Worcestershire. Inquiries to 797044.

BODENHAM ROMANIA SUPPORT GROUP – The BRSG autumn quiz will be held tomorrow (Friday) in Bodenham Parish Hall. 7pm for 7.30pm prompt start. Teams of four or six individuals are welcome. Entry is £6 per person (including a glass of wine and nibbles). Bookings can be made on 797044.

GARDENING CLUB – The club’s October meeting next Tuesday at 7.30pm will be the AGM, and subscriptions of £8.50 will be due for the coming year. Once the business section of the meeting is complete there will be a talk by Brian Draper entitled ‘The River Wye Part 2’.

FLICKS IN THE STICKS – Flicks in the Sticks returns to the parish hall on October 10, with a showing of Greenfingers (15). It features a group of English prisoners designing and building a garden for one of the world’s most prestigious flower shows and stars Helen Mirren and Clive Owen. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Admission: £3.50.
