MIDSUMMER MUSIC – At a recent concert in the Memorial Hall, we were royally entertained by Roger Tomlinson, retired director of music for the Blues and Royals and fellow trombone player, Graham Banks.

CRICKET CLUB – The club enjoyed an exciting match on Sunday, June 29, when Eardisland scored 127 and Presteigne 47, Eardisland winning by 80 runs.

HOSPICE SUMMER LUNCHEON – The Dilwyn Hospice Support Group will be holding a summer luncheon buffet at the Great House, Dilwyn, on Sunday, July 27, at 12.30pm.

OPEN GARDEN – On Sunday, July 13, from noon to 4pm, the gardens at Tyglyn in Cusop Dingle will open in aid of the Cusop Village Hall fund. Entry is £3 for adults, accompanied children are free. Come along and stroll around the beautiful streamside garden, there will be a duck race, Scottish country dancing, games and refreshments.

CLIFFORD SHOW – The show takes place at the community centre on Saturday from 2pm to 6pm. Come and enjoy scrumptious cream teas, a dog show, a bunting-making workshop, clowning, a scarecrow competition, live music with the Lonsdales, Busy Bees maypole dancing and lots and lots of other stalls.
