HEREFORDSHIRE farmers came out tops again in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Farming Awards.

TV presenter Kate Humble presented the winners Esther and Henry Rudge from Ballingham Court Farm, near Ballingham, with their cash prize and trophy at the Monmouthshire Show.

Second place was presented to Perrystone Estate, near Rosson- Wye, and third place was shared by Pound Farm, Holme Lacy, and Hyde Farm, Woolhope.

The awards demonstrate the high class environmental work that is carried out by farmers and their contribution to the landscape of the Wye Valley.

The 2013 Awards will concentrate on small farms under 100 hectares. Visit wyevalleyaonb.
