YOUNG farmers will be getting into character for a popular pantomime festival.
A number of clubs from the Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs will be competing in the organisation’s Pantomime Festival at Aylestone Business and Enterprise College in Hereford each evening during the February half term week, starting on February 13.
Doors will be open from 6.15pm and the first performance will commence at 7.15pm. Finals night will start at the earlier time of 6.30pm and doors will open from 5.45pm.
The pantomimes will include many timeless favourite characters such as Jack and the Beanstalk, Peter Pan, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and there will be a visit to the mystical Camelot.
The pantomimes are being adjudicated by Sarah Fisher and George Cooper.
Herefordshire NFU is sponsoring the event.
As well as the pantomime productions members will compete in the One Plus competition, the new street dancing competition, the senior member of the year, junior member of the year, as well as the De La Tour Davies Challenge trophy for the club deemed the most successful at raising money for their chosen charities.

Tickets must be purchased in advance from the county office as they will not be available for purchase on the door.
Admission costs £15 for a family ticket (two adults and two children under 12), £5 adult, £4 under-12s and OAPs and under fives are free. Finals night is £7 with no concessions.
Light refreshments will be available.

Each pantomime production should last no less than 30 minutes and no more than 75 minutes.
The two highest placed clubs will go on to represent Herefordshire at the West Midlands area finals on March 3 at Oakengates Theatre in Telford.
