HEREFORDSHIRE farmers joined George Howells who organised a vintage tractor run starting at Wheathill, near Ludlow.
A total of 156 vintage tractors took part and as an added attraction of the day Brimfield Vintage Club organised a tractor pull on the farm with a further 35 vintage tractors entertaining the crowds.
George’s granddaughters Kate and Lucy sold raffle tickets, the sale of which contributed to the £6,320 which the event raised.
The money raised was donated equally to the Lingen Davies Cancer Appeal and the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Cheques were presented recently at SBS Stadium Ludlow where Brimfield Vintage holds its monthly meetings.
