THE little Red Tractor farming logo is to get a more joined up approach and clearer labelling through its farm assurance schemes.
Up to 45,000 farmers and growers in the schemes will be getting new manuals and news letters to help them meet industry standards in their own sector.
The scheme is run by Assured Farm Standards (AFS) which says it wants the same standards alligned across all farm sectors to deliver more consistency in the Red Tractor family.
Chief executive of AFS, David Clarke said: “Promotion of assured food to consumers using the Red Tractor logo is getting an ever-increasing profile and it is essential that all sector standards include the same core values.
“Re-branding the schemes will link the farm logo with the consumerfacing Red Tractor logo and help shoppers to identify that the products they are buying are from a Red Tractor farm.”
