SHEEP shearing could be a good profession and give shearers the chance to travel in their work.
The British Wool Marketing Board is running courses for people to master the skill, including those who have never sheared a sheep before.
Local farmer Russ Whistance has just been on one of the courses to “brush up’’ on his shearing skills and says even after 10 years at the job, the courses help to continue improvement.
