Quality produce was key to award at Three Counties Show

FRUIT, vegetables and plants grown in Herefordshire and Worcestershire helped the NFU in the West Midlands to win a silver award for its stand at the Three Counties Show.

The NFU won it in the trade stand competition and Clare Greener, NFU senior policy adviser, thanked growers who gave produce so readily and helped to promote NFU Home Growns, which showcases the huge range of high quality fruit, vegetables, herbs, bedding and perennial plants available regionally.

Strawberries and raspberries came from A J and C I Snell from Harewood End, potatoes from C M Mercer & Son from Leominster, asparagus from Cobrey Farms, Ross-on-Wye and bedding plants from Allensmore Nurseries, Allensmore
