David Eckley, of Mansel Lacy, and Brian Williams, of Hereford, have each been presented with an award for 50 years of service in the agricultural industry by Lord Apsley, president of the Three Counties Agricultural Society.
The presentation was made at the Three Counties Show and was followed by a lunch in the recipients’ honour.
Both David and Brian are employed by David and Ian Powell of Yazor Court, Yazor.
David has worked on the Foxley Estate, of which Yazor Court is part, since he was 22 and Brian has worked for the Powell family from the age of 16.
They are still invaluable members of the team at Yazor Court, working together on all jobs, rain or shine.
David and Ian Powell said that not only their skill and experience, but also lifelong reliability, had made the pair irreplaceable – and that they hoped to see many years of work in them yet.
