There were competitions covering everything from street entertainment to synchronised wheelbarrows and boys’ cookery to sheep shearing but, after all the fun and frolics of the three days, it was Herefordshire Young Farmers who were top dogs at the three counties show in Malvern.
County chairman Richard Thomas, from Hopfields, Risbury, Leominster, received the Lord Lieutenant Trophy on Sunday at the 211th Three Counties Show, the 51st to be held at the site in Malvern.
Young farmers from Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire took part in competitions over the three days of the show.
Anna Lewis, Herefordshire YFC competitions chairman, said: “It’s great to see the enthusiasm of the members competing for their county, especially as the standard of competition was once again so high.”
