110 FINISHED cattle (80 clean cattle, 30 over 36 month cattle and cull cows): A quality run of clean cattle met strong demand selling to 241 pence from Mesr DE and SJ Cheacker. Heavy steers averaged 203.5 pence and heifers 192 pence.

Top price per head: £1,504.50 for an entry from the same vendor.

30 cull cows, and over 36 month clean: Well meated cows selling to a strong demand topping at 160 pence with an overall average of 116 pence, with entries predominately made up of dairy cows.

863 lambs: lambs met sparkling trade selling to £80 from Mrs M Sammons. A much improved trade saw strong demand on all types of lamb. Strongest demand was shown on 42 kilo continental cross lambs selling to 164 pence. Overall SQQ was 155 pence per kilo. The overall average price of lambs was £66.80 per head (average weight 43 kilos).

280 cull ewes and rams: The entry of ewes met an increased demand. Another short number of best shaped ewes forward. Continentals sold to the top price of £120 leaving an impressive overall average of £74.21. First quality ewes sold from £80. Second quality sold from £60. Small and plain ewes sold to this figure. An entry of Rams also met a good trade selling to an average of £88.25.
