MEMBERS of an agricultural society were invited to present Prince Charles with a book they have produced.
The representatives from the Harewood End Agricultural Society History Project brushed up against royalty during a reception at Llwynywermod, near Llandovery.
While there they presented the Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, with a copy of their book - ‘Harewood End Agricultural Society Celebrating 125 years of farming in South Herefordshire’.
Members said Prince Charles was delighted to receive the book and showed a great interest in the society's involvement with the area.
The royal wrote the foreword to the book which traces the history of the Harewood End Agricultural Society since 1890.
It has been extensively researched by the History Project team and the author Heather Hurley to provide a lively account of both the society and agriculture in south Herefordshire.
