AN increased number of trade stand bookings have been taken ahead of one of Herefordshire's largest agricultural shows.

The food and craft marquee at this year's Kington Show is almost fully booked with livestock and horticulture entries coming in.

“The show entertainment is all booked, with a wide variety of entertainment for all the family to enjoy," said Richard Williams, vice-chairman of the show which will be held on September 12.

Once again, the show will make limited funds available via its charitable grant scheme.

This can be divided between a number of applicants to help agriculture, science and research in connection with agriculture and rural industries, demonstrations, education, rural crafts, conservation and promotion of co-operation between rural and urban communities.

The criteria for the grants are for individuals aged 16-26-years-old and to live within 25 miles of Kington town clock.
