The annual Wormside Ploughing Match was this year held at Bridge Sollars .
The heavy morning rain followed by bright sunshine produced almost ideal conditions for ploughing.
A great turn out of vintage and modern tractors turned out for the match plus some very beautiful horses all working very diligently to produce the most accurate furrows.
C. Nixon took first place in Class One while D. Needham won Class Two and D. Pritchard pipped H. Jones to first place in Class Three.
J. Cole won Class Four, K. Stanley took Class Five and E. Jones was judged the winner in Class Six.
In Class Seven A. John took the honours while A. Richards won Class Eight and H. Enoch was the best in Class Nine.
In Class 10, W. Williams won while in 11a A. Pomeroy was the winner and in 11b T. Pratt beat G. Allen to the trophy.
