Young farmers get set for ploughing match
MEMBERS from 16 Young Farmers clubs throughout Herefordshire are hoping for a fine day of competition on Sunday at the annual county ploughing match.
This popular event will this year be returning to the Holme Lacy Campus of Herefordshire and Ludlow College and will be sponsored by the Tallis Amos Group.
The ploughing classes will start at 9am and the domestic section will start at 10am. Admission is free.
The ploughing match gives youngsters the opportunity to learn hands-on about the preparation of the seed bed with uniform, level, straight and well-packed furrows.
