Leominster gets fruity with annual apple fair
LEOMINSTER is in for a “fruity gourmet experience” with the town’s annual Apple Fair and first Apple Week taking place this month.
The Apple Fair will be held at the Priory Church on October 19.
However, the fun will continue the following week when pubs, cafes and coffee houses will offer home-made dishes ranging from pies to truffles for the Apple Dish Trail.
Councillor Jenny Bartlett, the trail organiser, said: “The pubs and cafes have come up with a lip-smacking range of food dishes and there will also be locally made apple juice, hot apple and cinnamon drink and even apple ice cream.”
Trail enthusiasts who vote on the best apple dish will be in the running to win a prize.
