HEREFORDSHIRE breeders made a big impression at the Burwarton Show held in south Shropshire.
Those crossing the county boundary certainly met with their rewards at the show held in Cleobury North.
Mike Brown, of Baron's Cross Charolais Stud, in Aymestrey, near Leominster, saw two of his animals pick up wins.
Mike saw his 13-and-a-half month old novice bull Charbron Honourable win his class. He was then named champion Charolais.
'Honourable' then went on to become reserve champion in the interbreed beef championship.
Mike's heffer Charbron Honour also won her class and became reserve Charolais champion.
"It was extremely hot but very well supported and there was a lot of good stock there," said Mike.
Other county winners included: Limousin champion – PR Dawes with Dinmore Elegance; and Inter-Breed Championship also won by PR Dawes with Dinmore Elegance.
Hereford champion was MJ and HM Timmis with Shraden 1 Joker and the British Blue champion was N Pritchard with Brown Clee Granger.
The Inter-breed Group of Four Beef Cattle Championship was won by the Limousin breed, with Herefords as reserves.
