YOUNG Farmers will be displaying their pulling power at the finals of the NFYFC Tug of War competitions. Herefordshire will be represented in both the mens and the ladies tug of war finals.
A total of 150 Young Farmers from across England and Wales will take part in the finals at Tenbury Countryside Show on Saturday August 3.
The event promises to be a battle of willpower and strength in three sections - ladies, mens and mixed under-17s - with the finals for each section taking place in the Grand Ring from 4.45 pm.
The competition, which is held annually, is the culmination of months of hard training for many YFC members, who will also have competed in county and area rounds to reach the national finals.
Hannah Talbot, NFYFC competitions chairman, said: "Competitions are at the heart of YFC, from club level right up to national and it's always brilliant to see the amount of talent we have in our membership.
"The competitions programme is there to give everyone a chance to take part in something they might not have tried before."
Supporters can buy tickets for the Tenbury Countryside Show from the NFYFC office at a discounted rate - £8 for adults and £2 for children, under 5s go free.
