THE Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will visit the Royal Welsh Show (RWAS) this month.
The Royal couple have accepted an invitation to visit this year’s show, popular with many Herefordshire farmers, and will be at Llanelwedd for its third day on Wednesday July 24.
“The society is delighted to announce the royal visit and we are honoured that both the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are to join us this year,” said Steve Hughson, the new chief executive of the RWAS.
“We are putting together a packed itinerary and hope that many people at the show will have an opportunity to see the royal couple.”
The prince has his own agricultural interest in Herefordshire - owning the Harewood Park estate, near Ross-on-Wye, which was acquired by his Duchy of Cornwall estate in 2000.
