LONG service in Herefordshire will be celebrated at the Three Counties Show which starts today in Malvern. Celebrating 30, 41 and 50 years – respectively – of service to horticulture and agriculture this year, are Herefordshire employees, Chris Bennewith-Mair, (from Wyevale Nurseries in Kings Acre), Michael Preece (of Phillip Wrixon, Devereux Wootton, Norton Canon) and Brian Burford (from Cobrey Farms, Coughton, near Ross-on- Wye).

The three will each be receiving a long service award for their 30 years or more continuous service with the same employer or on the same holding.

VIP visitors from Herefordshire at the show include the high sheriff, the Bishop of Hereford, Hereford mayor Phil Edwards and the chairman, vice-chairman and leader of Herefordshire Council. NFU county chairman for Herefordshire, Bruce Gilbert, will also be there.

The show opens today (Friday) until Sunday. For more information, visit threecounties.co.uk, call 01684 584924.
