BROMYARD Equestrian Centre had a great start to its new eventing and show jumping series last Thursday.
The idea of mixing show jumps and cross-country fences into the arena and then jumping against the clock came from Matt Linsey who works at the equestrian centre.
Matt said: “As a course builder and competitor, it was quite a challenge to get the mixture right with the fences and to ask just enough questions to make the riders think.”
Rachel White from Fair Deal Equestrian commented: “It was great fun and I became very competitive being able to ride at that level and win.”
Rachel’s partner and local eventer Graham Law said: “It was a well-built and designed course that Matt created which was very educational, even for young horses. It was also good fun and value for money being able to jump both show jumps and event-style fences.”
The next eventing and show jumping competition is on Thursday, July 24. For show dates and event details, go to bromyardequestriancentre.co.uk.
