Lottie, one of the BHS former rescue ponies, needs a new family to care for her. Unfortunately Lottie has been outgrown. She has been in her present home for approximately two years during which time has attended many shows and Pony Club camps.
Lottie has an awful lot of love to give! She is a 12.2hh piebald mare who is approximately 12 years old. She is a fantastic pony with a kind nature, is excellent around children and is good to ride (although she has a fairly strong mouth). She is a willing pony and enjoys jumping.
Lottie leads well either from the ground or on a horse and is very friendly and truly kind-natured. She is also good at loading and travelling.
Because horses are social animals, the BHS wouldn’t want Lottie to go somewhere where there were no other horses or ponies. Lottie currently lives out all year round (with adequate rugs in the winter) and is not shod.
The BHS doesn’t sell any of its rescue horses and ponies so Lottie is offered on loan only. Anybody wishing to take Lottie on will need to be approved by one of the rescue team which will pay regular visits to check on her well-being.
If you are interested in looking after Lottie and would like to know more, please contact Emmeline Hannelly, welfare executive, on e.hannelly@bhs.org.uk or call 01926 707791.
