KINGSLAND Brownies and Guides have been enjoying new outdoor equipment thanks to grants from a county trust.
The groups were given funding by the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust to the tune of more than £2,000.
The money has been used to buy camping equipment for the Guides and a parachute for the Brownies, as well as an outdoor recreation session at Oaker Wood Leisure.
Val Davis, district leader for the groups said: “Both the equipment and the outdoor recreation day are enabling us to encourage the girls to work together as a team whilst keeping them fit and healthy.” The deadline for the next round of trust funding, available to residents of the parishes of Shobdon, Pembridge and Kingsland, is September 30.
