LEISURE centres across Herefordshire have been hailed for the quality of their services.

The centres run by Halo Leisure in Hereford, Ledbury, Ross, Bromyard and Leominster have been highly commended after external inspections by Quest, the UK quality scheme for sport and leisure.

It puts them in the top 1% of Quest assessed leisure facilities nationwide.

Halo Leisure is one of only two leisure trusts to have achieved accreditation for all centres at a ‘highly commended’ level.

Alex Haines, manager of Hereford Leisure Centre, said: “We have made consistent progress year-on-year both in terms of service and support systems.

“However, the most rewarding part as manager is having the commitment of the staff. Without their support we would not have achieved this level.” Halo manages leisure centres on behalf of its major partner, Herefordshire Council.
