THE final touches are being added to the programme for what promises to be the Herefordshire business event of the year.

A panel of high-profile speakers have been lined up for the Herefordshire Business Conference and Exhibition, which takes place at the Courtyard Centre for the Arts on Monday.

The event will include keynote speeches from regional government, business leaders and venture capitalists while exhibitors at the venue will showcase the breadth and diversity of industry in the county.

“We’ve had an excellent response from businesses wanting to exhibit and from business representatives wanting to attend,” said Councillor Adrian Blackshaw, Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for economic development and community services.

“This is the first time we’ve brought such a range of businesses together under one roof. It promises to be a showcase of all that is good and innovative among the county’s many successful businesses.” The conference is hosted by Herefordshire Council and the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Advantage West Midlands and the Hereford Times.

Among the speakers are Brummie Stokes, founder of Hereford’s Taste for Adventure Centre, Mick Laverty CEO Advantage West Midlands, venture capitalist Stephen Dawson and Allan White, CEO Central Technology Belt.

“Not only will local businessmen and women be able to hear from leaders in local industry, we have a host of speakers who will cover a variety of important issues from a regional and national perspective,” added Coun Blackshaw.

Any local businessmen and women wanting more information about the event should contact Naomi Rusher, at the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire & Worcestershire, on 0845 6411523.
