A MAN has completed a unicycle ride around Ireland in memory of a friend who died from a brain tumour.

Jai Caorthann, from Vowchurch, was heartbroken when Joshua Davies, a colleague at John Kyrle High School, died at the age of 17.

So he decided to remember their friendship by taking on the challenge and raising as much money as possible for Brain Tumour UK.

Jai, who completed the ride in 22 days, said: “We had a few incidents along the way though, such as the tyre blowing out, We had to wait for a new one to come, which meant that we had a weekend off.”

Jai, who is 19 and studies at Cumbria University, has so far raised at least £1,500.

He can still be sponsored by visiting justgiving.com/one-wheelone- island.
