Breeding ewes - 673: The larger entry of generally smaller ewes sold to a good crowd of purchasers with virtually a total clearance.

Only a few yearlings on offer - they topped the sale at £135 for a pen of strong Suffolk cross Mules.

Other yearling black faced ewes were smaller and sold at £114.

Texel cross yearlings sold to £126 for a larger pen with smaller sorts at £99.

The draft of 2 and 3 year old Suffolk cross ewes in good order sold to £134 for a pen of 2's with others at £115.

A run of 3 and 4 year old North Country Mules sold at £104 for 3 pens, others at £94.

Several ewes were full mouth having been weaned from lambs for 4-6 weeks they sold to £98 for Texel cross, others from £71 to £92.

Suffolk crosses to £94, others from £75 to £90.

Store lambs - 1816: A record entry for the end of July with over 1800 lambs penned with a good crowd of men from local counties and south and west Wales.

2 weaned Charolais bulls at 3 months sold at £550 with a very smart Charolais heifer of the same age at £500.
