Pigs: Larger entry of pigs with all selling. Quality well shaped pigs in all sections sold to a good trade but second quality pigs were harder to sell.

Run of over 20 sows and boars offered with fat sows ranging from £91 to £165 and cull boars topping at £100. Bacon gilts made £152 and bacon hoggs made from £112 to £119. Quality well shaped white stores made up to £58, white weaners made from £22 to £30 and coloured poorer shaped weaners met with a harder trade.

Store cattle - 357: A good entry of cattle for the first sale in November and a good crowd of men competing for the cattle throughout. Customers for all types with the best cattle easiest sold. Colder and plainer cattle would be slightly less money. Strong feeding steers topped at £1300 with other stronger steers from £1100 to £1215. Farming steers from £950 to £1100 and regularly from 210p-230p/kg. Other farming steers from £850 to £1000.
Native bred steers to £965, other Herefords and Angus from £750 to £880. Younger steers from £700 to £850 (215p-255p/kg). Heifers topped at £1225, other stronger sorts from £1000 to £1150 (190p-215p/kg). Farming heifers from £850 to £1000 with native bred sorts from £680 to £800, plainer heifers from £620 to £760 (180p-195p/kg).
Younger heifers from £580 to £750 (200p-225p/kg).
Feeding bulls topped at £875, with other better bred bulls from £650 to £780. Hereford and Angus bulls to £660, smaller sorts from £520 to £650. Other bulls from £350 to £500.
In the cow and calf section the second draft of Mr B D Powell's cows certainly caught the eye and sold to tremendous interest topping at £1600, other younger cows PD in calf from £1350 to £1580. Older cows from £950 to £1180. The cows and calves were a varied selection and topped at £1520 twice, other stronger outfits from £1150 to £1320.
Older cows from £950 to £1100. A Limousin four year old stock bull topped at £1420.
A few less barren cows - these sold to £1050 (144p/kg). Other good meat cows from £800 to £990 (112p-130p/kg). Plainer cows from £475 to £730 (83p-105p/kg).
