AN annual cricket match between the Harewood End Agricultural Society and the South Herefordshire Hunt resulted in a final-ball thriller.

About 120 people turned out to watch the 20-over clash, which took place at Wormelow Cricket Club.

The Hunt team batted first, making 143-6.

HEAS then went in to bat and, with just one over to go, their score was 132-3.

The match then became even tighter and, with just one delivery to go, the scores were level.

Off the final ball, however, HEAS secured the necessary run to win the match by three wickets.

Karl Waits top scored for the hunt, while Hugh Smith came out on top for the agricultural society.

A supper was laid on by the HEAS Ladies Committee after the game.
