THE story of a breed of sheep forever associated with Leominster will be told in the town.
The Leominster Market Town Study Day is being held on May 13 at the Market Hall in Grange Court.
As part of the day, Roy Preece, former president of the Ryeland Sheep Association, will explain the history of the breed, ‘the Lemster Ore’, which brought great prosperity to the Leominster during the Elizabethan period.
The study day will run from 9.45am to 4pm. The cost of £20 includes lunch.
