PUPILS at a Herefordshire School paid tribute to a giant of children’s fiction by dressing up as his famous characters.
Willy Wonka, Fantastic Mister Fox and the Roly Poly Bird were all seen at Ivington Primary School as part of Storytelling Week that saw the books of Roald Dahl come under the spotlight.
Tim Milne, head of Ivington Primary School, said: “Roald Dahl has written books that appeal to pupils of all the primary ages. The language he has used is very varied and they also have made-up words which make them more interesting.”
Drama workshops were held in the school with the help of The Courtyard in Hereford to act out scenes from the books.
